Everything learners need to know about their certificates, sharing them, and managing their CertVerify account.
Overview
CertVerify provides secure, verifiable digital certificates for online learning courses. Each certificate is protected by HMAC validation and can be instantly verified by employers and educational institutions.
What is a CertVerify certificate?
A CertVerify certificate is a tamper-proof digital record of course completion. Unlike paper certificates, it includes:
- Your name and course details
- Completion date and time
- Course score (if applicable)
- A unique HMAC-protected ID for instant verification
- Automatic sharing links for LinkedIn and email
Viewing Your Certificates
Sign in to your learner account to view all your certificates in one place.
Creating an Account
- Sign up: Use your Google account, Microsoft account, or email/password
- Verify your work email: Enter the work or school email where you received your certificate
- Confirm via OTP: Check your email for a 6-digit verification code and enter it
- Set preferences: Choose whether you'd like to receive product and course updates
- Done: Access all your certificates instantly
Certificate Status Badges
- ✓ Verified: Valid and ready to share
- Revoked: No longer valid (if you didn't complete the course requirements)
- Expired: Past the expiration date
Sharing Your Certificates
Share your certificates with employers, educational institutions, or on social media in seconds.
Generate a Share Link
- Click "Get share link" on any certificate
- A shareable URL will appear (it's unique to your certificate)
- Click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard
- Paste into emails, LinkedIn, your resume, or anywhere else
LinkedIn Sharing
When you share a CertVerify link on LinkedIn, it will automatically display:
- Your certificate title and course name
- Issue and expiration dates
- A preview image
- A direct link to verify the certificate

Certificate Verification
Anyone can verify a certificate without creating an account. This is how employers can confirm your credentials.
How to Verify a Certificate
- Visit your certificate's share link (or the main CertVerify site)
- Enter the certificate ID (looks like:
CV-ELT-202606-dHtBMxjI-d40a1a4d) - Instantly see the certificate details and verification status
What Gets Verified?
- Certificate authenticity (HMAC validation)
- Holder name and course details
- Issue date and expiration status
- Revocation status
Managing Your Account
Email Preferences
When you sign up, you can choose whether to receive:
- Product Updates: New features and announcements from CertVerify
- Course Updates: News about new courses and learning opportunities
You can update your preferences in your account settings at any time.
Account Security
- Change your password: Go to account settings and update your password
- Sign out: Click "Sign out" to end your session
- Delete your account: Contact support to permanently delete your account and all associated data
Privacy
CertVerify takes privacy seriously. Your certificate email and personal preferences are encrypted and never shared with third parties. Share links only reveal the information you've chosen to make public.
